If you’re going on a summer vacation or attending an out of town business seminar, there’s no need to worry about scouting for a hotspot area in your place of destination to connect your gadgets in checking your emails and monitoring your business for you can bring on a pocket wifi with you.

A battery power mobile router is the solution for gadgeteers and business professionals who are constantly on the go. You can create your own wifi hotspot anytime and anywhere. As it is WiFi enabled, you can hook up 5 devices to one dongle. Thus, your children and other family members who are with you can also connect to the internet via the mobile network.

It is amazing that this tiny gadget can give up to 7.2 Mbps surfing speed and is made available for prepaid and postpaid users of different mobile networks. Surfing the net with less interruptions is important especially if you are engaged in communicating with a prospective client. However, before purchasing one it is advisable to do a little research first. Ask your friends and colleagues who are already using a pocket wifi at the same time browse different service providers which offer the gadget. Compare offered packages and prices too. Most importantly choose a provider that can provide you with the most reliable signal.

For the purpose of maximizing time, people are starting to do lots of things on mobile. Business professionals realized that going from one place to another will take a large portion of their time and they might as well do something and be productive while they’re travelling; thus the invention of mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops and now mobile printers. These gadgets are equipped with alternate power sources like batteries and can easily be carried around.

For professionals who are always in the field like architects and engineers, having a mobile printer around would mean so much convenience. At any time while working, they might need to print out documents, plans, or issue receipts to their clients and co-workers.

Professional photographers who are specializing in outdoor scenes might as well need a mobile printer for their photos for instances that their output would be needed for evaluation or souvenir. A travelling businessman would also need it badly as they might be meeting clients along the way and documents and proposals will be best remembered if given in printed documents than being presented verbally.

Mobile offices are on the rise these days and having these mobile printers around would mean better access to files and convenience of work.

Back in the old days a phone was used for one purpose, making a phone call. But with iphones we now have so many applications available at our fingertips. The trusty iphone is like an office in your pocket. Often we don’t even need to take a bag anymore, as long as we have our phone with us! There are so many interesting ways that they have changed aspects in our every day lives. Here are 5.

Camera

Not only do you always have a phone with you and can always be in contact wherever you go, but now you also have a high quality camera available all the time. No longer do we have to make sure we have our camera in our bag, as long as we have our phone we can always take awesome, high quality photos wherever we are and we can capture video too! It’s as easy as whipping our phone out of our pocket and capturing every moment in living colour. The best thing is that you can get one of your awesome snaps printed onto your iphone 5 case as your personalised cover!

Email

If you work on the run and need to be in ten places at once, being able to check emails is an awesome addition to have in your life. With the iphone we don’t need to run into an internet café while we are out and about to check emails. If we are waiting on an important work email, having the advantage of having our email on our phone means that we never miss that important email and we can say yes to opportunity the moment it presents itself!

Games

The iphone is not only an awesome addition to our lives but our children benefit hugely from having an iphone in their lives. When we are at adult gatherings and there are no other children around, having games on our phone means that the kids can be occupied that little bit longer but downloading games applications onto our phone. Instead of having them whining to leave when they are bored they can play their favourite game. The big kids among us can also play our favourite game while waiting for the doctor, or sitting at a bus stop.

Google Maps

Before the iphone came along we used to have to spend at least 15 minutes before we set out on our journey looking through a street directory and working out our journey. Then when we are on the road it means either having someone with us to navigate or attempting to flip through a bulky street directory while we are trying to drive. Now with google maps on our phone we can type in our destination when we get in the car and the phone tells us where to go. Amazing!

Organiser

Having a calendar and organiser in our phone means that we don’t need to keep a bulky diary to remember where we need to be at any time of day. Not only can we put them in and have it there at our fingertips whenever we need to remember where we need to be, but we can put in an alarm so the phone actually reminds us about our appointments and lets us know when we need to be somewhere.

As portable computing devices such as the tablet become more integrated into our normal lives, open-source operating systems such as Google’s Android are a becoming increasingly popular to lend increased functionality to these devices. However, not all tablets are the same and there are certain models that are better than others for running Android. So, let us have a brief look at some of the most commonly chosen tablets and the benefits that they offer.

Google Nexus 7

This tablet is the most popular for hosting the Android service. It boasts a standard 16 gigabytes of hard drive space and there is also a choice to upgrade to 32 gigabytes. One key feature that makes the Nexus 7 desirable is that at a weight of only .76 pounds, it is the lightest amongst its competitors. If we add this to the seamless integration of Android 4.2, it becomes clear why this tablet is the preferred choice for many users.

Google Nexus 10

It should come as no surprise that another popular model is the sleeker and more sophisticated Nexus 10. This device is exceedingly light and is known for its durability; essential for those on the go that wish a robust operating platform. Additionally, the Nexus 10 boasts one of the sharpest digital screens available and it possesses the fastest processor of all Android tablets.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

Many believe that this is the best tablet manufactured by Samsung to date. The Galaxy 10.1 comes with a standard 16 gigabyte hard drive and a unique feature known as the S-Pen which makes writing and note-taking easy. The processor is lightning fast and is the thinnest model of tablet amongst its major competitors. The inclusion of the latest version of Android makes this tablet an attractive alternative, though it is a bit pricey in comparison to other brands.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8

This tablet is priced considerably cheaper than the 10.1 version for those looking for Google Android tablet deals. It is also considered one of the most visually-pleasing models that host the Android operating system. It also comes with the S-Pen stylus and its memory can be expanded by the addition of a microSD card (not included). The tablet itself is a bit smaller than the 10.1 and its main competitors, thus making it ideal for those who desire a fully functional Android operating system that takes up little physical space.

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T

A notable feature of this Asus model is that the 10.1 inch screen with an impressive resolution of 1920×1200 is backed up by a a quad-core processor that runs the Android 4.0.3 operating system. The processing power of the Asus Transformer make it one of the best platforms to run Android. Finally, the user has the option to purchase a 64 gigabytes of hard drive space, allowing this tablet to have one of the largest memory capacities.

Although these top five choices are presently the most popular tablets for running Google Android, it is expected that more companies will be entering into the tablet market to host this open-source program in the near future.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO in layman’s term simply means promoting a website online. It is a technique done to make a site search engine friendly, more visible and gain traffic from major search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and others at no additional cost per visitor.

When we do research, the fastest and easiest way to get and find relevant information is through using a search engine, by simply typing a keyword or a keyword phrase, results are posted in seconds and as a common practice we click and explore on the links found on the first page. These links found on the first page obtained a high-ranking placement in the search results page of a search engine, thus is the goal of implementing SEO on a website. The higher your site rank in a search the greater the possibility of gaining greater volume of qualified traffic when certain keywords and phrases are put into the search field.

Employing good SEO techniques when done properly can help to ensure that a website is accessible and will be found by most search engines. The site ranked higher in organic search results will easily get noticed by the people you wish to reach, in turn increases the amount of visitors it receives.

From a SSL certificate to SEO enhanced copy, cover these bases and you’ll have all the foundations you need for your business to prosper.

Online Security

While the SSL certificate cost may be an initial outlay you could do without spending, it’s essential if you want to show your customers you’re serious about their online security. In fact, affordable website security from reputable Certificate Authorities mean that you don’t have to spend a fortune to be SSL secured.

If you were to head online to buy a product, you wouldn’t choose a company that didn’t consider data protection, would you? Even the basic technophile will know that if sensitive data is required to be entered, such as credit card details or login passwords, there should be the presence of an https:// connection.

So yourself a favour and look into the various SSL options. Online security is essential and your potential customers know that.

Social Networks

With millions of people using social networking sites every day, they’re a prime place for rounding interest in your business. From setting up a page on Facebook to retweeting and following likeminded businesses and potential customers on Twitter, don’t underestimate the power of social media.

Website Pointers

Maximise your online presence with enhanced SEO. Use keywords wherever you can and build a reputation within Google that’ll see you fly up the ranks and see that you’ll be at the top of search term results in no time.

Make sure your website is easy to navigate, with clear and concise information. While pages upon pages and over-the-top designs may look funky, they detract from the reason why people are visiting – to buy your stuff.

Top notch copy and affordable website security are within your grasp – get off on the right foot with your fledgling business, today.

You’ve been using the internet for many years now, but have you ever heard about cloud computing yet? Just recently, the term “cloud” slowly became a household word and more people realize that they had actually been using it through the processes they do on the internet. Computer wizards and geeks have known what cloud computing is for so long but there is no equal layman’s term for it. It simply refers to the storing, retrieving and processing files on your computer or another device. Browsing the web, sending an email, using different online applications means you’re on “cloud computing.”

“Cloud” refers to the system of connected computers through the internet. Some analysts define it as an updated version of utility computing which is basically virtual servers available over the Internet.

Attaching your device to the cloud gives you access to huge amount of resources from around the world. With this system of viewing and retrieving files from anywhere, you don’t have to save all your files in your local drive thus you have greater storage capacity. This also allows you access to your files wherever you are physically for instance, you have saved your files at home and at the same time saved it on your online storage account, thus, you can still access it when you travel to another city or country without any problem. There are now cloud services that and these resources are basically free for everybody. Other sites also offer huge yet free storage accounts such as Amazon, Box and DropBox.
