My husband is not a tech-savvy when it comes to mobile phones. He would rather use his laptop to check on his emails or browse the internet. When at work, he only wants a small lightweight phone with a good QWERTY keyboard and a decent battery life he could carry during his farm visits to answer phone calls or send text messages. Additionally, he is particular to a dual sim phone to accommodate his two sim cards.
We have found Nokia Asha 210 a nice yet cheap replacement for his two year old dual sim phone. It offers the basics of what you’d expect from a modern mobile phone. The unit’s simple boxy design and 97 grams weight makes it comfortable to use as it fits very well in the hand and can be use easily on one handed too.
Though the resolution is a bit poor and the lone 2 megapixel camera has no LED flash, we find it not too bad at all. The presence of a micro SD slot is an advantage to hold more memory for storage expansion. It is also equipped with GPRS/EDGE, Wifi, Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR, and an FM radio with FM recording. Most importantly, the keys are easy to feel and press.
Nokia Asha 210 is available in shades of black, yellow, magenta, white and cyan blue. My husband preferred the classic black and bought it for only Php3,390 at Citilight Telecom Center.
